Azrael was born and raised in Houston, Texas. where he currently resides and performs. He discovered his passion for music playing drums by age two and started playing tribal drums from Mexico called huehuetl and teponatztli at age 4 as a traditional Aztec dancer in 2002. He is one of the original founders Of Calmecac Indigenous Arts Orga
Azrael was born and raised in Houston, Texas. where he currently resides and performs. He discovered his passion for music playing drums by age two and started playing tribal drums from Mexico called huehuetl and teponatztli at age 4 as a traditional Aztec dancer in 2002. He is one of the original founders Of Calmecac Indigenous Arts Organization and the primero palabra Huehuetero (first drummer) of Danza Azteca group Calmecac Tonantzin Yolilitzyotl. Now he is channeling sounds through electronic cuts and drops. He folds sounds to stimulate your senses from the everyday mundane routine. Follow the soundscapes he creates to move your body to the beat
